We welcome, shy, nervous, wiggly or well-behaved dogs to our salon. However we do not accept aggressive dogs. 

Vaccination/Paperwork Requirements:

NOTE:  All required vaccinations must be current in your pet's system one week (7 days) before coming into our facility. This is for the safety and well-being of all of our pet clients, human clients and Staff.  Thank you!


  • Proof of current rabies vaccination (tags are not sufficient).

  • Proof of current distemper/DHPP vaccination.

  • Proof of current bordetella vaccination (kennel cough).

  • Proof of yearly flu vaccine.

All approved paperwork and vaccines must be submitted prior to booking your pet's first stay at The Dog Shop. Keep in mind that animals can have reactions to vaccinations so please have this done at least one week (7 days) prior to bringing your pet to us. It is your responsibility to verify with your vet that your pet's vaccines are current and that we have the most updated information. Paperwork can be brought into our Front Desk, e-mailed to us via

Company Policies:

  • Advance reservations for daycare are required.

  1. All dogs attending Daycare/Grooming/Training/Boarding must arrive on leash wearing a flat, quick release, snap on collar for their safety.   Collars should be neither too tight nor too loose.  Identification on their “daycare collar” is recommended.   Any buckle, prong, or choke collars will be removed while dogs are playing. 

  2. Once a male dog reaches maturity, if he has not be neutered, The Dog Shop can not accept him for boarding or daycare. In an off-leash play setting an in-tact male can become the target of other dogs. This policy is for your dog's protection as well as other dogs and Dog Shop staff. 

  3. Proof of current vaccination is required for all services rendered at The Dog Shop. There are no exceptions unless authorized by your vet with the vet signature.

  4. All vaccinations must be dated one week (7 days) prior to scheduled appointment.  If not, we cannot take your pet.

  5. The Dog Shop is not responsible for keeping up with your vaccines.  This is solely the responsibility of the pet owner.

  6. All dogs entering the facility must be free of parasites, including fleas and intestinal parasites.  For Daycare attendance, we do require that all dogs be on year round heartworm and flea preventative prescribed by their Veterinarian.

  7.  All dogs entering the facility must be in good health and free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize the health of other dogs.  Dogs that have been ill with a communicable ailment in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to return to Daycare.

  8. All dogs attending Daycare must have never shown any signs of aggression towards other dogs or people.  All “parents” will need to certify that their dog has no history of aggression

  9. The Dog Shop reserves the right to refuse enrollment to any dog at any time for any reason.     

  10. All grooming appointments MUST be on time.  The Dog Shop will allow up to 15 minutes past your scheduled appt. time unless authorized.  Otherwise, appointment will be rescheduled.  It is imperative to keep on schedule as our clients have their own schedules to keep.

  11. Our staff will call upon completion of your pet’s groom.  A one-hour pick up window is allowed before daycare fees apply unless prior authorization.

  12. An additional charge of $1.00 per minute will be applied for Dematting.  This is a very time consuming process and very difficult for your pet.

  13. If we need to shave your dog due to matting, there will be an additional charge.

  14. If you are a no-show for a grooming appointment, there will be a charge of $35 which must be paid before any other appointment can be made.

  15. Our business closes at 6:00 pm.  If picking up your dog late, there will be an additional charge of $5.00 per/half-hour for anyone picking up their dog after business hours.

  16. We conduct tours of our facility Monday - Friday 10:30 am–3:30 pm and Saturday 10:00–1:00.  

  17. Retail returns must be in original packaging and in salable condition

  18. Payment is due when services are rendered.
